Gordon State commit. Despite getting the call off the bench in the 3rd, that was all Richardson needed to make a huge impact on the game. He battled and spoiled multiple pitches in his first AB until he got a low offering and dropped the barrel right to it for a Grand Slam. The load and swing are smooth as both halves fire together allowing for effortless pop. Later in the same inning on the first pitch this time, he sent a high FB into the trees in CF for a 2R HR, making it not only his second of the game, but the second no doubter of the inning. Morgan bats were white hot and Richardson was the stand out performer in his 2 ABs. At 6-foot even, he sports a strong, sturdy lower half that will continue to develop as he mentally and physically matures. Game 2 he ran into bad luck as he ripped a couple of balls right at defenders, but still made himself a difficult out. Exciting things to come for Richardson as Morgan stays the favorites for the 2A title and is sure to make an early impact this upcoming fall at Gordon State.
