The Mars Hill commit was an instant tone-setter out of the lead-off spot as he was a big part of both wins. Reached base 7-times across both games including a pair of doubles and a 3-run homerun. Simple setup and controlled base with active hands pre-pitch. Well-balanced with a quiet lower half and uphill intent in a path geared for loft. Create easy leverage through the zone with impact out front backed by loose, twitchy hands and some barrel feel throughout the zone. Strong actions at the keystone with solid footwork and arm strength present. Nguyen has shown well over the course of the spring amongst staff while he’ll look to keep things rolling come the Elite Eight.
