LaGrange College commit. Ray attacked the zone on Saturday morning. He’s an athletic mover on and off the mound with a firm FB that shows late life in the zone. He commanded the FB well and consistently attacked hitters, getting ahead early in counts. The SL has late bite with good depth and was effective as a put-away pitch. He rarely needed the CH but showed it as a viable third option he can land for strikes.He worked five innings, allowing two earned runs while forcing a lot of weak contact and keeping the pitch count down. He controlled the tempo of the game and never looked rattled in traffic. Competitor on the mound with the ability to fill up the zone, attack hitters with three pitches, and pitch with confidence in any count.
