Uncommitted. It was an intriguing first look at the Harris County right-hander as he produced a quality showing. Stands a physical, high-waisted 6-foot-3, 190-pounds with easy to see projection and boasts whippy arm speed. Creates deception from a tough angle and low slot with ability to repeat well out of the same tunnel. Fastball sat 85-87 (T88 MPH) with arm-side run and more velo to project. Changeup tunneled extremely well off the fastball and was a weapon while showing a future advanced offering down the line at 78-81. Went R/R at will for heavy swing-and-miss in the zone with late-depth and fade to the action. Slider showed some bite with sweep at 70-71 and complimented the entire arsenal. Starling will be a huge piece to the Tiger rotation as he boasts present pitchability with much more to come and will be an uncommitted name to keep an eye on this Spring.
