This was my second look at Dockter this Spring as he really has started to take off during his freshman campaign. The first-basemen showed really well while batting cleanup and facing a tough southpaw in the mid-upper 80’s. Put together a multi-hit game including a backside double into the left-centerfield gap that one hopped the wall and a pull-side single as he stayed back on spin well. Physical 5-foot-10, 187-pounds and boasts a strong feel to hit with impact in the barrel to match. The LHH stays well-connected and balanced while transferring weight well in a hanging leg lift load. Creates excellent length and keeps his hands back with present feel to move the barrel around the zone for consistent solid contact. Quality pitch recognition stands out as he looks to hunt in-the-zone early. The stock continues to grow for Dockter as he has a real chance to be the x-factor for his ballclub come the playoffs.

Dockter looked the part in the box to open the 14u National Championship as he would come through with multiple hits batting in the heart of the order for ATL Lightning en route to a win on Thursday afternoon. Doctkter displayed excellent use of the entire field in a mature all-fields approach as he would fire a pair to the backside and pull-side for knocks. The LHH shows an innate ability to sync up with a leg kick load and utilizes his lower half well as he generates strength from the ground-up. On-plane consistently in a compact, direct path with present bat speed allows for the incoming freshman to be able to hit velo or spin as he looks to do damage early in counts. Already showing a strong feel to hit there is budding impact in the barrel with strength to project upon throughout the frame.
