Uncommitted. The Pope backstop boasts a quality hit tool that shows up time and time again in each look. Came through with multiple hard-hits to all-fields across bracket play. Morneau shows excellent balance with fast, fluid hands in-zone and present feel for the barrel with adjustability in the path. Great feel for the zone with innate pitch recognition and ability to spoil pitches stands out in a mature all-fields approach. The defensive tools are equally as loud with plenty of athleticism in the crouch, strong blocking/receiving, and present arm strength to match. It's a strong profile across the board for Morneau as he will look to build off a strong sophomore campaign with a potential junior season breakout on the way.
