George Fox University commit. It very well could have been the best pitching performance to date this Spring for myself. Santos was dialed all game long as he carried a perfect game through 6.2 IP against quality competition. Finished with a final stat line of 7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K with immense pitchability and feel for the 3-pitch mix alike. Good mover at a lean, athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pounds and excellent ability to repeat well from a higher ¾ slot. Bulldog demeanor and attacks the zone with the feel to go to any pitch in any count. Fastball showed heavy arm-side run at 87-88 (T89 MPH) and consistently spotted on the outer half to both RHH and LHH. Changeup looked like a future advanced offering while tunneling out of the same slot off the fastball at 79-81 with tunnel for whiffs to both RHH and LHH. Slider was the go to pitch with sharp break and feel to manipulate with confidence in any count at 74-77. Santos yields a formidable workhorse atop the rotation and gives the Wolverines a chance to win on any given night.
