Uncommitted. Weber’s name can be seen all over in the Broncos winning effort G1. He took advantage of all 3 PAs as he reached each time and picked up 2 timely knocks. His first AB was with 2 down and a RISP as he saw one up early and hammered the first pitch the other way for a well hit RBI 1B to extend the lead to 2-0. His next AB was an identical result as he fought for a good count and punished the mistake pitch UTM for another RBI 1B. Weber constantly works the big part of the field and lets the swing live in the zone for a long time. His spread out approach and bat to ball ability work in his favor as a gritty piece at the bottom of the lineup. His final AB personified his game as he fought often and spoiled pitches for a BB. Game 2 he was off to the same start as he went after a first offering T2 to move a man to 3rd as he rifled a LD the other way for a 1B. It was just showing off in his final AB where he once again found a a barrel, this time shooting it the other way as he one hopped the RF fence for an easy 2B. Behind the plate he also went 1-2 in catching potential base stealers, and G2 had a back pick off a runner at 1st in a big moment, showing a quick pop time and good arm strength.
