8/11/2018- Peach State Games

The 5-foot-10 180-pound 2020 two way player has feel for the game. On the mound he pitches from a low-¾ arm slot and uses a long arm swing to get there. This approach produces plus life at times and gives him the ability to run the ball in on right handed hitters. He looks like a strike thrower on the mound and is in control. He incorporates a soft breaking ball that has sweeping action to it at (66 mph). The lower slot makes for a challenging place to use a change-up, but long armers often show the ability to do just that.  Right now it is a distant third pitch at (69 mph). At the plate he hits out of a very wide base, with hands slightly above his head.  His back can drag on balls up because he loses leverage because he is so spread out.  On balls down however he shows the ability to drop the bat head and get to sollid gap type power.  Like the rhythm in his hands, would just like to see him be more athletic in his lower half set-up. Behind the plate he catches the ball fine, but his base is too wide and hurts his quickness behind the plate. Staying more compact will give him more sudden and quicker movements.
