Mercer Commit. The RHH consistently gets it done at the plate and can flat out hit. A tough out that is rarely overmatched. More of the same showed up on Sunday in the Championship Game of the Fall Invite. As Dastou unloaded on one and sent it sailing over the left-center wall at an exit velocity of 92 and a distance of 357 FT. An athletic SS at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds that gets well-leveraged through the zone with fast hands and loose wrists. Crisp actions in the dirt with present arm-strength.

The Mercer commit has quickly turned into a clutch bat for the Raiders this spring, and came through in the biggest of ways with an extra innings walk-off double to clinch a huge late-season region series. Dastou stays well-balanced at the plate with ability to create some separation and good accuracy in the barrel in a gap-to-gap approach. Quality glove on the left-side of the infield with good lateral actions and arm strength to make all the throws necessary. The junior has made impressive strides all-around this spring and looks poised for even more growth.
