Peach State Games
The big sturdy built 6-foot-1 200-pound 2020 RHP/3B is a powerful kid, and he put it on display early and often in this event. On the mound he attacked hitters from a stretch only approach. His delivery has effort, but showed no trouble throwing the ball over the plate. I do however Believe that the power pitcher will be control over command. He creates pretty good angle at times down in the zone. This kid wants to throw hard, and shows plenty of hand-speed to get the job done. On top of having good present velocity Fagerstrom can spin the baseball, flashing a Curveball with slurve action at 72-74, this pitch has a chance to be an out-pitch at the next level, as he gets consistent with the shape and how he wants to use it. As you would expect from an aggressive kid like Fagerstrom he also shows a slider with cutter type action at 77-79, this pitch needs some refinement, but believe its a pitch he will get too and fits who he is on the mound.  At third-base he catches what he get too and easily has enough arm to get the job done. If he is allowed to play both ways in college and move to first-base may be in his future. His approach at the plate is very similar to the one on the mound. He sets up straight away with his hands up in his stance slightly, and above shoulders. He is shows a good power stroke with rhythm and an exit velocity of 91 mph. Fagerstrom should figure into our initial 2020 state rankings which is start later next week.
