Markakis earned tremendous playing time as freshman for the Tigers this spring with the production to match, and the state semifinals were no different. Displaying a low heartbeat in the box, Markakis has an advanced understanding of the zone and present high-level bat-to-ball skills that have shown in every look this spring. Picked up three barrels on the day including his first career high school home run on a 360+ft. pull-side shot and stand-up double off the wall. The freshman outfielder does a good job both creating separation and transferring weight into a swing that creates easy leverage. Strong arm in RF with a quality run tool and range to match, and has the type of projectable frame at 5-foot-11, 150-pounds to develop into centerfield profile as he matures.
