Uncommitted. Saturday morning spotlight for the rising senior, Schmidt had all three pitches working and was dealing. Had complete command of all three pitches, hit his spots, and gave up 2 hits through the first 5 innings of work. FB (T83, 81-79) ASR had good command, and worked well with 4sm for whiffs and 2sm caught batters behind and created pop-outs in the infield. Out of the 3 hits he gave up, only one was over 67 mph exit velocity. SL(69-68) had a good feel for spin and cut away from RHH.
