6-foot, 225-pound right-handed hitting corner infielder, physical build with strength throughout, room for firming up, ran a 7.99 laser-timed 60. Offensively, balanced setup, hands load back smoothly into an arm bar, short handing leg stride, good balance throughout. Big power in the swing, quick hands, barrel works level through the zone, takes a middle approach, at-times can turn on the ball and send it a ways, generates hard contact routinely, 100 exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, arm works short to an over-the-top slot, accurate on throws from the left-side and at first, 79 across the diamond. Plays through the ball with a confident glove-hand and fluid footwork, good actions around the bag at first.
9/29/19
Terry is a thick strong bodied first-baseman, he stands in at 6-foot, 200-pounds and shows the ability to impact the baseball, turning in an 89 mph exit velocity off a tee and also making loud contact during the live game portion of the Deep South (95 off the bat). Terry set up at the plate straight away and does a very good job of getting his lower half involved, showing excellent balance and the ability to through the baseball and use the big part of the field. In terms of balance, bat-speed and approach Terry was a big standout on the offensive side. Terry shows solid hands around the base and has no problem catching what he gets too. Terry profiles at first-base at the next level, and that is a direct result of having excellent offensive ingredients, that should only grow as he gets stronger.
