Willis was locked in from the jump as he put together a fantastic outing en route to the region sweep against in-region rivals. Went 6.0 IP with only 2-hits, 0 ER, 0 BB, and 4 K on 80% strikes. Excellent ability to spot both pitches in-the-zone and the two pitch mix consistently disrupted timing all night. Easy operation at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds with present arm speed and a smooth, repeatable delivery while getting downhill. Obvious feel to pitch with much more to project in the frame/profile. Command throughout the zone at 86-87 (T88 MPH) and ride out of the hand. Innate feel to spin the slider at 72-75 with bite and ability to add or subtract horizontal movement. The sophomore also took quality swings in the box throughout the contest. Stays well-balanced with barrel feel and leverage through the zone while being able to work to all-fields with authority. The stock for Willis continues to trend up as he will provide strong two-way value for the Bears this Spring and so forth. Potential to be a must know name come August 1st with a strong Spring/Summer circuit looming.

Delivery: Rocker step prep, slight glove drop and re-raise. Regular leg lift and drive.
Arm Action: RH. Very long arm 3/4 slot delivery. Snappy release with across body action.
FB: T89, 87-89 mph. Good ride to the fastball with good carry. T2343, 2294 average rpm.
SL: 72-75 mph. Frisbee like slider movement, traditional slider like action. T2680, 2621 average rpm.

FB: T88, 84-87 mph. Ride traits; 86-87 MPH with life. Good feel locating up in the zone. T2205, 2063 average rpm.
