Gulf Coast State commit. Spears started his season off competing on the mound for the Trojans. He struck out the first 5 to start the game and never looked back. Athletic frame, whippy ¾ arm slot, bounces around the mound and loves to compete. Ability to throw FB, CH, and SL in any count. Slider has late bite, with good depth. He ended up going 4 innings. 8K’s, 4BB, to go along with 1 ER. At SS he has good actions and movements in the field. Smooth defender with good range and arm. Bat to Ball guy at the plate who puts together quality AB’s. Vocal leader on and off the field for the Trojans.
