Harvey has a rock solid mindset as he is the leadoff guy for a talented Houston team late in the season. He had 3 ABs in G1 that were highly impressive and showed maturity from the talented Freshman. He just missed a pitch to start the game as he flew out to LF. His next AB was a frozen rope that was smashed right at the RF for a L9, but the swing was comfortable and Harvey showed growing confidence as the game progressed. His next AB was a situation where he could do damage and cut into the lead, and he did exactly that by driving a 2B to the base of the LCF wall and bringing a man home. His next AB is where his maturity showed the most as he quickly got down to 2Ks, but worked multiple pitches by spitting on dirt balls and spoiling close pitches, eventually ending in a hit through the 6 hole for a 1B. Harvey has plenty of room to grow into his frame that projects as a high level athlete with impressive quality tools across his game.

Uncommitted. Harvey turned in a strong outing Tuesday, commanding the game through four scoreless innings. He allowed just one hit and no runs, consistently missing barrels and keeping hitters off rhythm. The game moves slow for him, especially as a freshman. He shows the ability to throw three pitches in any count and locate them effectively. Fields his position well and is a very good athlete. The FB sat 80–83 with sink and arm-side run. The CB was 71–73 and kept hitters off balance throughout the night. Harvey is N2K and only going to continue improving as he adds strength and experience. At the plate, he shows simple actions with good bat-to-ball skills. He swings at strikes, controls the zone, and does a good job working quality at-bats. High baseball IQ.
