Uncommitted. One of the most potent uncommitted seniors left showed out in both games offensively. G1 was a 2-3 effort in big spots as he lives in the 5 hole in this quality HIES lineup. His 1st AB, he shortened up with 2Ks and worked the other way for a BS LD 1B. He later walked in the game and then followed it up with another 1B, this time to the pull side. His ability to get the fat of the bat to the ball was shown off even more in G2. Another 2 hits tallied in G2, this time both go for extra bases as he got the strong upper and lower in synch to produce good pop. Each of the XBHs were to both ends of the field, one for a leadoff 8+ pitch battle down the PS line, then an RBI 2B to the RF corner in his next AB. Wilson exudes comfort in the box and battles well as he can spoil pitches, hit for contact, but also get high power behind the ball. As HIES season continues, Wilson will look to be a key piece as the Bears hope to win it all.
