Grew an inch and put on almost 10 lbs of muscle (especially lower half) since Jan 7 Oahu Preseason ID. 2024's Prep Baseball Hawaii Player (and pitcher) of the Year gave up a first-pitch HR on belt-high FB then proceeded to showed the poise and mound presence of a 10 year MLB veteran, HR didn't faze him, came right back and struck out the next batter and showed why he's arguable the best prep pitcher in the state with future plus breaking ball and CHG. Osbun is a huge piece of maybe the best/deepest high school pitching staff ever at Kamehameha Kapalama and Osbun will be trusted by his teammates and coaches in big games as no other pitcher in 2024 came up with bigger performances to close 2024's regular season when their team needed a big win. Great get for University of Nevada where Osbun project to be a major contributor as a freshman in 2026.

5-10/175, added 15 lbs of muscle, especially lower half, looking strong...arguably the best high school pitcher in Hawaii in 2023...excellent rhythm, tempo, delivery & mound presence, looks like a pro...seen him up to 89 w/command & 2300+ spin...CHG is best out-pitch, excellent feel & deception w/+confidence, can throw in any count, advanced touch & command, ends up at least plus, equally effective vs LH/RHH's...plus feel for true SL, doesn't have crazy spin but ability to command plays SL up, induces chase-K's vs RHH's often...K-out pitcher, feel ends up a low BB rate guy...quiet & reserved off the field, completely different demeanor on the mound as fiery competitor...big game pitcher, cool under pressure, exudes confidence, a winner...truly feel will prove a lot of doubters wrong...would have 10+ big DI offers if was 6-02, should already be committed...reminds me of David Cone...#10 ranked Hawaii 2025...strong DI recruit.
