10/25/15 - The 6-foot-1, 160-pound lanky, athletic prospect showed a fastball that sat 84-86mph and topped out at 87 mph with occasional arm-side run, locates the fastball well on both sides of the plate. His 70-71mph curveball showed sharp 11/5 break. He stuck with the two-pitch mix in game play. Hoppe throws from a high ¾ arm slot with loose arm action. Up tempo delivery and occasionally lands open.  Hoppe had five strikeouts in two innings pitched during game play and impressed as the top arm at the event. As a position player, posted a 7.20 60 time and had a 79 mph position velocity from the outfield. Defensively Hoppe shows long arm action with a high-3/4 release, some accuracy, works through the ball well. Offensively Hoppe shows average bat speed from the right side and had a 66 mph exit velocity off the tee. Hoppe hits from a balance setup with a leg kick involved, gets some use out of his lower half, shows average overall balance, level swing path, line drive type hitter. Hoppe went 2 for 4 during game play with a double and a triple.

8/4/15- 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. Lean build. Good balance in delivery. Front foot lands open to plate. Loose arm action. Fastball shows life with cutting action at 81-83 mph. Curveball has varying 12/6 and 11/5 shape with sharp break and depth at 67-70 mph. Arm drags on changeup with flat action at 72-75 mph. Strong follow with good arm action and continues to develop physically.

5-foot-11, 150-pound right-handed pitcher. Follow RHP in the 2017 class. Lanky long levers. Compact delivery. Keeps foot underneath with short leg kick and balance in delivery. Longer arm action with minimal effort on release. Quality feel for all 3 pitches for strikes. Fastball was 75-78 mph touching 79 mph. Curveball was 59-62 mph with occasional 11/5 shape. Good arm speed on changeup at 69-71 mph. Interesting prospect with added strength and physical maturity.
