2022 MLB Draft League: Plus/plus-plus speed gives Figueroa a carrying tool and makes him an impactful defender in CF who projects to stay there. Switch-hitter has solid contact skills from both sides and a body that suggest he could add a bit of power.

11/10/21

Though Figueroa may be somewhat undersized, at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, the true freshman is a dynamic athlete with a well-rounded skill set. Figueroa’s calling card is his speed, as he posted 6.39-second 60 time this fall at Indian Hills’ Scout Day--the third-best mark recorded this year across 45-plus PBR JUCO Scout Days. That speed makes Figueroa an impact defender in center field, where he shows an accurate arm up to 86 mph. Offensively, the switch-hitter shows barrel control from both sides of the place, with a knack for stinging the ball into the gaps with exit velocities up to 94 mph.
