2/9/2019: Riley Mertl, RHP, Westfield HS, 2020, 6 foot 5, 190 pounds, has a great frame to fill out as a pitcher. Throws from a long arm action and mid ¾ slot. Fastball sat 83-85, with some arm speed to project more to come. Curveball was tight and short 11/5 action and sat 68-71, and CH showed slight fade at 77-78. Riley is very intriguing with his size and arm speed. Will be one to watch this spring and summer.
