PREP BASEBALL REPORT-INDIANA INTERNSHIPs

Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive year-round coverage in every state we are in. The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to scout and promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level.  We are looking for driven and skilled individuals with a passion for baseball to fill multiple internships for this spring and/or summer.

-SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Contribute to our digital content team with a social media emphasis.  Our social media intern will have the opportunity to learn new skills and make a big contribution to a number of exciting products.

Duties/Responsibilites:

-Assist in posting content to and maintenance of PBR Indiana social media accounts

-Assist in creating social media content (videos, photos, posts)

-Assist in social media projects to promote engagement and grow our clientele

Education: College graduate or student pursuing a degree in digital media, sports management, journalism or related area.

Preferred Skills: Social Media, Blogging, Copy-writing/Editing,  Quality written communication skills, Familiarity with social media required, Graphic design background preferred, Detail oriented and organized

Notes:

-Internship start date is flexible

-Internship is at minimum 30-40 hours/week

-Reports to Director, Content

-Position will be located in Westfield, IN

-VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERN

Prep Baseball Report has more than 20,000 player videos in our expansive database and continues to grow rapidly each year. The Video Production intern is responsible for working as a team to create these videos.  Interns will learn video shooting and editing techniques necessary to succeed in the video production positions in a variety of industries.

Duties/Responsibilities:

-Shooting video/photo

-Video Production

-Editing

-Uploading to the Prep Baseball Report Website

Education: College graduate or student pursuing a degree in communications, media production or related area. 

Preferred Skills: Shooting video on-the-field, Logging video footage (transcribing, tagging and archiving footage), Recording audio, Editing video using Adobe Creative Suite or similar program, Adding Graphical elements and rendering out final formats

-OPERATIONS INTERN 

Carry out pre-planned event assignments as directed in order to ensure the desired results for each event.  Such events include pre and post showcases, tournaments and any other Prep Baseball Report-related events.

Duties/Responsibilities

-Assist in the daily operations of PBR Indiana (website content, social media, email campaigns, online registrations)

-Assist with the inventory of showcase shirts, apparel and promotional products

-Assist with showcase/game day operations

-Work in tandem with the entire PBR Indiana staff to meet all stated objections

-Learn the intricacies of baseball scouting and scouting equipment

Notes:

-Previous experience playing/coaching HS and/or college baseball

-Computer proficient

-Microsoft Office proficient

-Position will be located in Westfield, IN

SCOUTING INTERN

We are seeking qualified students, preferably studying business, marketing or communications with a strong understanding of the game of baseball. It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills. 

Dates: Anytime

Pay: TBD based on availability

Location:  This position will include traveling to high school games and summer games in the spring and/or summer.

Primary responsibilities:

• Work hand-in-hand with our scouting director

• Collect video at games and properly send back to HQ

• Compile scouting notes and relevant data

• Compose articles and write-ups recapping player performances

• Utilize social media to promote player performances
