6/18/14 - 6-foot-2, 185-pound, strong frame with some projectability.  On the mound has shown a big increase in velocity over the last year, arm has gotten significantly quicker using medium arm action through a high ¾ slot, fastball showed some late arm-side run and sink at 85-87 mph, struggled with command of 73-76 mph breaking ball burying most in the dirt, good arm action on 77-78 mph changeup that was mostly straight on this occasion, struggled with overall command early but settled in to allow one hit and strike out 2 of the 5 hitters he faced, Hedgecock has added a solid 8 mph to his fastball since we first saw him last summer.  As position player shows good footwork around the first base bag, good arm strength, inconsistent throws at 83 mph across the infield.  At the plate, hits from a tall setup with a short stride, has made some adjustments in shortening swing since previous event, uphill path creates some lift, shows some pull side power and ball jumps when barreled, showed bat speed with 87 mph tee exit velocity, improved speed running a 4.69 down the first base line.

1/19/14 - 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect with projectable frame, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, fastball is mainly straight, showed a 2-4 mph increase in velocity from previous event at 81-83 mph touching 84, showed good command of curveball with 11/5 action at 66-68 mph, changeup is good at 71-73 mph with good arm-side run and sink, potential for more velocity gains from Hedgecock.  As position player, showed improved feet around the first base bag, infield arm at 75 mph (77 at previous event).  At the plate, hits from a slightly open setup with a short stride, arm bar in load leads to longer swing path, generates some bat speed with strong frame, shows occasional pull-side power, registered 88 mph tee exit velocity (90 at previous event), ran 4.65 down the first base line.

6/11/13 - 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, on line mechanics, fastball sat 77-79 mph, 2-seamer showed some arm side run, curveball sat 65-66 mph and showed some late 11/5 action.  As first baseman, room for improvement in hands and footwork, accurate arm at 77 mph.  Hits from a tall, open setup, smooth load, good rhythm, good lower half torque in swing creates bat speed, shows a pull approach, has some power potential, has a tendency to pull off the outer half pitch, ran 7.58 60 yard dash, showed good bat speed with 90 mph tee exit velocity.
