2022 MLB Draft League:WVU signee; McNeely started slowly in the Draft League after his incredible spring campaign at Walters St., but added aggressiveness to his approach helped him finish strong, racking up extra-base hits on a near nightly basis during the final two weeks. It's a short, compact swing with natural loft that could translate to average game power at the next level. Defensively, McNeely has all the tools to man either middle-infield position, and he earned high marks in center field, a new position, in the Draft League.

JUCO Gems: Hitters, Vol. 1: Strong athletic shortstop with first-step quickness. Good hands and feet to consistently get in position to get it done. Strong accurate throwing arm with carry, enough arm to make all the plays. Strong approach with the ability to barrel it up consistently. Smart hitter who doesn’t get off balance and makes adjustments. Drives the ball to all fields with power. Short stroke and can catch up with high velocity. Has good intangibles and really understands the game. Chance to be an everyday SS at the ML level or be a good offensive 2B.

A superior athlete who is strong and fast with next level tools, McNeeley should see significant action on the dirt this spring for the Ragin' Cajuns.
