Jeffrey Vest: RHP/OF, (2023) Conner, KY. 6-foot-6, 185-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 91 mph. (66.7 mph bat speed average). (20.2 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Has flashed quick bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 83 mph; had rhythmic footwork, a clean exchange, and consistent hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.85 60-yard dash. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 82-83 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2085; Avg 1997). His changeup (76-76) shows some action. Throws a 10/4 slider (71-74) with slight late action. (Max spin 1999; Avg 1952).
