2/12/17 - Max FB: 80, FB: 77-79, CB: 67-68, CH: 71-73
6/15/16 - Max FB: 80, FB: 78-80, CB: 66-67, CH: 75-76, SL: 70
6-foot-4, 160-pound RHP has plenty of room to fill out his long/slender frame, continues to make improvement in staying closed in his delivery which has led to an increase in velocity, works through a low-3/4 arm slot, fastball showed varying action ranging from arm-side run to cutting action, tends to get around the curveball leaving it somewhat flat and up in the zone, changeup would benefit from bigger velocity difference off the fastball, allowed three hits and walked one in his two innings of work. Manley will be one to watch as he continues to improve mechanics and secondary pitches.
2/13/16 - Max FB: 76, FB: 73-76, CB: 67-71, CH: 70-73, SL: 68
6-foot-4, 160-pound RHP uses shorter arm action and works through a low-3/4 arm slot with regular effort, showed some improvement in staying closed longer in delivery, arm slot produces some arm-side run and sink on fastball, showed an improved curveball with 10/4 action, has feel for changeup that has some sink through the zone. Has made notable overall improvements with the potential to continue developing with his lanky frame.
6/29/15 - 6-foot-3, 155-pound RHP works through a low-3/4 to ¾ arm slot, opens hips early and lands open causing a loss in velocity, fastball sat 73-74 mph topping at 75, showed a 64-66 mph breaking ball that is flat and backed up on a few occasions, has some arm-side run to fastball, had a solid outing allowing one hit, walking none, and striking out two (both swinging on FB’s) in his two innings of work, showed better velocity at winter event
2/14/15 - 6-foot-3, 150-pound RHP, young prospect with highly projectable frame, uses long arm action and woks through a low-3/4 to ¾ arm slot, fastball shows slight arm-side run at 75-79 mph, touched 83 mph on his last fastball, 62-66 mph needs continued development as he gets under it and leaves it up and out of the strike zone, also shows a developing 68-69 mph slider, throws a solid 70-73 mph changeup that is currently his best secondary pitch, a 2018 RHP to keep an eye on.
