8/8/15 - 6-foot-5, 200-pound RHP solidified himself as one of the top arms in the 2016 class and committed to Western Kentucky following the event. Works through a high-3/4 arm slot with long arm action and minimal effort, fastball sat 85-88 mph with some arm-side run and sink, 70-73 mph curveball is thrown for strikes with sharp 11/5 action and generated several swings and misses, good arm action on 77 mph changeup, allowed two hits and struck out four in his two innings of work. Hicks continues to show velocity gains and should have no problem continuing to do so.
6/17/15 - 6-foot-5, 190-pound RHP had an impressive outing, uses long arm action through a high-3/4 slot, minimal effort delivery, showed an increase in velocity, fastball sat 84-87 mph with occasional arm-side run, curveball has shown good development since last summer with solid 11/5 action at 70-73 mph, threw one 79 mph changeup with good arm action and deception off the fastball, pounded the zone with all pitches, allowed one hit, no walks, and struck out two swinging (both on curveballs) in his two innings of work, size and projectability along with current velocity makes Hicks a potential Division I prospect.
7/23/14 - 6-foot-5, 185-pound prospect with lanky and projectable frame, arm is quick, long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, fastball sat 82-84 mph touching 85, showed good command of his 64-66 mph curveball with 12/6 action and some depth, also showed a 78 mph changeup thrown with good arm action.  Hicks has established himself as a high follow in the 2016 class with the potential to be a high-level prospect
6/17/14 - 6-foot-5, 185-pound prospect with lanky build and very good projectability, delivery is easy and repeatable, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, arm shows quickness, shows good command of a three-pitch mix, fastball sat 82-84 touching 85 with some arm-side run, curveball initially was up in the zone but found release point after a few batters, curveball showed some depth with 12/6 action at 67-68 mph, changeup showed good sink and fade at 75 mph, throws strikes consistently, struck out 3 of the 10 hitters he faced in game action.
