12/12/15 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed hitter has continued to make impressive strides in his game and has emerged as one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state. Hits from a wide, slightly open stance and squares up with a short stride, slight wrap in load but gets through the zone with good hand-quickness, shows gap power, personal best exit velocity at 91 mph off the tee, showed good speed running 4.31 down the line. Shows athletic actions defensively and plays through the ball well, big arm strength at 92 mph from a long high-3/4 release.
On the mound, 6-foot-1, 160-pound RHP continues to show a steady increase in velocity and is one of the top uncommitted arms in the state. Johnson works though a high-3/4 slot with regular effort, good tempo in delivery, loose and quick arm, fastball sat 85-87 mph touching 88 with good arm-side run and sink, curveball is sharp with tight spin and 11/5 action at 75-77 mph, throws 77-80 mph changeup with good arm speed but tends to bury it, intriguing prospect on the mound with very good upside and likely more velocity to come.

10/11/15 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed hitter impressed with overall ability. Hits from a wide base with a short stride, good balance, wraps slightly in load, flashes hand-generated bat speed, shows gap power, 82 mph exit velocity (87 previous best), hit well in game play going 2-for-4 with two doubles to left field, ran a 7.26 60 (7.16 previous best). Defensively, has athletic actions and moves well, plays through the ball, clean exchange, 87 mph arm strength with carry an online accuracy from a long high-3/4 release, solid overall ability with good upside. On the mound, RHP made a significant jump in velocity from his previous event. He uses long arm action and works through a ¾ to high-3/4 slot, has regular effort with good tempo in delivery, quick arm, fastball sat 84-86 touching 88 on one occasion, mostly straight, gets under his 69-71 mph curveball at times but it has good spin and shows solid 11/5 action when he stays on top, curveball can be an effective pitch at the next level, allowed no hits walked one, and struck out five in a dominant outing in his two innings of work.

2/14/15 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound prospect, right-handed hitter hits from a slightly open stance, gets to square with a short stride, has a slight wrap in load, generates bat speed with some hand quickness, line drive type hitter with potential to develop gap to gap power, 87 mph exit velocity, ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Defensively, plays through the ball well with athletic actions, good footwork, clean exchange, long high-3/4 arm action, good arm strength at 86 mph with carry, interesting prospect with athleticism and arm strength. As a pitcher, with room to fill in frame, uses long arm action and works through a ¾ slot, drop and drive type delivery with minimal effort, throws slightly across body at times, fastball sat 79-82 mph with occasional arm-side run, curveball shows sharp 11/5 action when he stays on top of it but gets under it at times leaving it up, shows some feel for 70-73 mph changeup, interesting prospect on the mound.
