2/21/25
6'1" 175 lbs. athletic frame.  After an impressive summer circuit, the Arkansas recruit started to gain steam amongst the scouting community heading into this spring, so we were excited to get our first look at him this year.  Facing a LSU commit, Turner wasted no time making an impact, as he turned around a 90 mph heater for a line-drive single to right field, and then stole second soon after.  He's got a very simple set-up from the left-side with good rhythm in his hands, and he sinks into his back-hip during a simple load and stride, which allows him to consistently get in a good hitting position.  There's present bat speed and obvious twitch in what is a classic left-handed swing.  Turner is able to match the plane of any pitch and keeps his barrel on the baseball and through extension a long time.  He's a good runner as well with a high baseball IQ, and can impact the game in a variety of ways.
