2/28/25

Snell is another former Future Gamer that has gotten off to a torrid start to the year and that continued last Friday night against St. Louis Catholic. The first thing that stood out with him was the strength gains that he's made since last summer, as he's definitely added physicality to his 6'1" 170 lbs. frame, but there's still room to project for more. Snell has a somewhat unorthodox set-up in the box, as he starts in an open stance with a higher hand-set, before using quick hands to deliver an on-plane path to contact with present bat speed. He caught a barrel in his first at-bat, as he drove a FB to the LCF gap for a stand-up RBI double and added another RBI single later in the game to finish the night 2-2 with 2 RBI and 3 R. Another thing that stood out with Snell was his "baseball IQ", especially on the basepaths, as he was constantly looking to take the extra base. Now that March 1st is here and college recruiters can get back out on the road to recruit, Snell is a really good name to highlight to see this spring.

Cole Snell, Parkway (LA), 2026
Positional Profile: OF/SS
Body: 6-1, 155-pounds. Athletic, long, lean.
Hit: RHH. Starts in a wider and squared off base with hands held above shoulder height, uses a simple load and stride to get to center. Flat path to contact with level extension and a two-handed finish, displayed quick hands with some present bat speed, worked on a line mostly to the pull-side gap, good athlete whose power production should pick up as he continues to fill out his wiry frame. 64.2 mph bat speed with 20 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 85.4 mph. 328' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-81 mph. Longer arm stroke with an OTT release.
Defense: Plays low to the ground and approaches the ball in his legs, receives out front clean off his left foot with one hand, good athlete, can play anywhere in the OF.
ATH: 7.01 runner in the 60. 1.71 and 3.92 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
