A 6-foot-4, 210-pound right-hander from Brother Martin HS, Gaconi has had a decorated High School Career for Brother Martin. A strike thrower, Gaconi has seen a recent jump in velocity and overall stuff. During the fall he sat 83-85 and touched 87 with some angle towards the plate. Breaking Ball is a developing pitch with 11/5 shape, spins ok at times, with some depth. Showed a decent feel for a cutter/slider that could develop into a nice pitch down the road if the spin gets tighter and velocity increases. Could become a very nice college arm if the secondary pitches continue to improve to supplement the strike throwing ability with a fastball that has some velocity and angle now.
