Eli David: C/RHP, (2022) Vandebilt Catholic, LA. 6-foot-1, 180-pound lean frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's 90 mph exit velocity showed his ability to drive the ball with power. Starts in a balanced stance, has a quick load and uses a short stride before his swing. Had an uphill swing plane, as well as explosive bat speed and good extension on his finish. His strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 76 mph; has firm hands and consistent footwork. While catching, produced a pop time of 2.10-2.19. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 7.3.
10/28/18 Medium 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. Right-handed hitter starting from a stacked setup with simple rhythm as he loads back. Loose uphill path through zone with bat speed that produced an exit velocity 84 mph. Defensively worked with soft hands, loose hips in setup, presents solid target with smooth footwork and clean exchanges. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws, recording a positional velocity of 76 mph and a pop time range of 2.20-2.31 seconds. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher throwing from high release, with short rhythm. Works down the mound with level shoulders and in-line direction. Short, quick arm stroke produced a fastball sat 79-82 mph throwing it around the zone. Breaking ball showed late 11/5-shape with near fastball arm speed at 69-72 mph while throwing a tighter spinning slider at 71-74 mph.
