Athletic and physical 6’1” 180 lbs frame.  Durable body type that has room to add strength.  Starts with feet shoulder width apart, middle of the rubber working slightly to the left side through his delivery.  Quick tempo through his wind up, stays tall, striding slightly across his body before release.  Over the top release with a quality FB that topped out at 84 mph, sitting 82-83 mph.  FB plays up, as it has some late, riding life through the zone.  Flashed a true, “12-6” shaped breaking ball that has the chance to be a quality secondary pitch at 72-74 mph.  Was able to land it for strikes consistently.  Kept same arm speed on a firm, sinking CH that sat 81-83 mph.  High follow guy as we move into the spring.

Physical 6-foot, 170-pound frame. Right-handed hitter stands in the box tall, with good rhythm in his hands, and really delivers the head of the bat to the baseball, produced an exit velocity of 87 mph. Over this summer, Bethel has shown a lot of positional versatility, playing both corner OF spots, both corner infield spots, and catching.  Bethel has made a name for himself this summer by combining his athleticism and physical frame with the ability to play multiple positions. Worked out in the outfield with solid actions working through the baseball with average athleticism producing a positional velocity of 87 mph. Ran a 7.45 second 60-yard dash.

Hunter Bethel: OF/RHP, (2022) Walker, LA. 6-foot, 165-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a balanced tall  stance and has a quick load. Has a level swing plane and level finish. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 84 mph; had a clean exchange, athletic footwork and soft hands. Fields the ball out front while his movements laterally were athletic. Showed a quick arm action and an-over-the-top slot. He recorded a 60 time of 7.21 at the event. On the mound, he threw from an over-the-top angle and had quick arm speed. He is a feel type pitcher and uses some effort. Has an athletic balance point with uphill shoulders. His fastball sat 79-82 mph. Has a sharp curveball (68-71) that shows in the zone control.

6-foot, 157-pound athletic frame. Right-handed hitter hits from a tall, balanced stance and makes a quality move towards the ball. Flashed a fairly flat path with a higher finish generating an exit velocity of 84 mph. Showed athleticism in the outfield workout with  quality actions, clean footwork and clean exchanges into an over-the-top release producing a positional velocity of 82 mph.. Developing athlete, ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher with solid delivery and fluid rhythm. Works with solid tempo, level shoulders, and solid direction. Compact arm action into an over-the-top release with solid arm speed and medium effort. Fastball sat 78-81 mph with solid command. Flashed a sharp curveball 68-69 mph with solid feel. Also showed solid feel for a changeup at 71-74 mph.
