Athletic and physical 5’11” 185 lbs. frame with a classic catcher’s build. RHH starts in a wider, squared off stance, using a leg kick to get back to center. Head moves some throughout the load. Took violent swings during BP round showing some pull side power. Max exit velocity of 94 mph. Came out of stance slightly on throws to 2B. Short arm action, releasing the ball from a ¾ arm slot with the ball close to his right ear that produced a positional velocity of 73 mph and pop times of 2.07-2.22. Recorded a 7.51 in the 60.
7/14/20
Solid 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with catcher’s build and present strength in build. Right-handed hitter hits from a wide, balanced stance using knee-to-knee leg lift to start the swing while remaining centered. Makes a strong forward movement on the baseball landing hard on the front foot while getting into the ground to create leverage. Hands load to around the back shoulder while laying the barrel down and working on a flat, on plane path. Has some head movement that could lead to timing issues and possible swing and miss but creates strength at contact and pull-side power potential, posted an exit velocity of 93 mph. Behind the dish, shows solid hip flexibility. Bends ok into a balanced catching position. Angled setup to aid in footwork for quicker transfer, solid receiver with medium exchange into a high-¾ release with average carry and accuracy, posted a 2.11 top pop time with 74 mph arm strength. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash.
