Andrew Capps: SS/2B, (2022) Narragansett Regional, MA. 5-foot-10, 160-pound solid frame. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 86 mph. Began in a wide stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Has average bat speed, flat simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up lots of balls during the round. Line drive approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 82 mph; showed consistent feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with average movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot with a long arm action.

Position: SS/2B

Body: 5-foot-10, 160-pound solid frame.

Hit: (RHH) Began in a wide stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, flat simple swing. Line drive approach. 

Power: 86 mph exit velocity, average 82.47 mph. 67.35 mph bat speed average. 21.26 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft hands, consistent footwork, clean exchange. Solid.  Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball out front. 

Arm: 82 mph infield velocity. Long arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

5-foot-9, 150-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. I thought he showed extremely well at the event. He ran a 6.88 sixty. The glove and feet work well together in the infield as he stays active through the receiving of the baseball. he threw 85 mph across the diamond with accuracy. The arm is clean and free. The bat has an exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot gains ground to the baseball as the swing is produced. The path is long to contact and he displayed a 1-handed release after contact with the baseball. The addition of physical strength will aid his game immensely as he has a talented skill set. 

Exit Velocity- 89 mph

INF Velocity 85 mph

5-foot-9, 150-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. He ran a 7,.3 sixty at the event. He turned in a very good showing at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic and active. He threw 82 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. The feet are solid and he moves well left and right. The bat has an exit velocity of 86 mph. The setup is wide in base and the hands work clean. The path is long and flat through contact, displaying a 1- handed finish after contact with the baseball. The skill set is advanced defensively, just waiting for the bat to catch up. He is a good follow. 

Exit Velocity- 86 mph

INF Velocity- 82 mph
