6-foot-4, 230-pound right-handed pitcher. The body and frame project as he is at an advantage based on his size and leverage. The delivery is solid in tempo and the feet are online. The slot is above 3/4 and repeated. The fastball was 85-86 mph with arm side action. The spin pitch is solid in shape, sitting 76-77 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, sitting 78-79 mph. I would keep an eye on this guy, see how it plays out. If he can throw more strikes, he could be a serious guy.

Place is a young, right-handed hittnig infield prospect. He hits out of a balanced, wide stance. The hands are set just off the back shoulder. He uses a simple load to get into a good launch position and the bat takes a slightly uphill path through the hitting zone. Defensively, Place showed good feet and soft hands as he worked through the ground balls. He finishes through the play and stays in line with his target. He also had a vertical of 56.3 cm. On the mound, Place is a big, physical presence. He work primarily out of the stretch. He leans back a bit as he gets to his balance point, causing him to drift toward his glove side as he separates and begins down the mound. The arm swing is a high, over the top slot creating some tilt on a fastball that sits (77-78 MPH). Place also showed a slider with good depth and a split/change with late action.
