2017 FUTURE GAMES
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting utility guy and pitcher. On the mound, pitches out of a 3/4 slot, relies on movement and deception at this point. The arm is quick and when he matures, he will pitch with more velocity. Pitched 80-81 at the event with the fastball. The spin pitch was 70-72 mph. The changeup is 73 mph. Defensively, threw 85 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. Reliable outfielder as he gets off the ball and the movements are athletic. Ran a 7.13 sixty at the event. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 90 mph. Hits out of a wide set up. Uses a knee to knee timing mechanism on the bottom half as he initiates the swing. The path is simple and there is an attempt to stay inside the ball at contact.

6.27.2017
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and infielder. Ran a 4.68 down the line on his dig to first base. In the outfield, threw 78 mph with carry and accuracy. Gets off the ball well and has a good idea how to play the outfield. The infield glove is solid and he works through the ball appropriately. Thew 81 mph across the diamond. Brandon is coming back off an arm injury so keep that in mind as you read this report. At the plate, the hands have plus life. The tee exit velocity is 92 mph. Sets up wide with the front foot open. The front foot dives into the plate as he initiates the swing. The hand path to the ball is simple and he makes solid contact. Solid looking swing and worth seeing on the mound when he is at full speed.

5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed pitcher who also worked out in the outfield and the infield. His best display is on the mound for me. The delivery has flow and rhythym to it. His direction to the plate is good and uses a bottom half coil to generate hip rotation. The fastball touched 80 mph with arm side run to it. The spin pitch is plus at 74 mph. The changeup has the right rotation, sits at 72 mph. Good looking arm. The outfield approach to the ball is appropriate, throwing 85 mph. The infield approach is solid, the feet work and the glove is solid. Throwing 81 mph across the diamond. Offensively, the bat has a legit tee exit velocity of 92 mph. The set up clean, the path is simple and explosive to the ball. The ball jumps off the bat. This guy loves to play and work at his game. Ran a 3.82 thirty at the event.

11/13/16
Right-handed hitting middle infielder that shows good actions all over the field. The glove is solid and the prep steps need to continue to improve, threw 80 mph across the diamond with carry. Also, threw from the outfield, throwing 83 mph. The bat has good life to it, tee exit velocity of 91 mph. Sets up with his feet wide and slightly open, closes down the front foot as the ball approaches. The path is flat and long through the ball. The barrel is handled well and he finished properly after contact. There is a slight lean to the front side of the body prior to contact, staying behind the ball can improve. On the mound, the fastball touched 80 with arm side action to it. The spin pitch is legit, small and tight, sitting at 72 mph. The changeup has the appropriate spin, sitting at 68 mph. The delivery is athletic, coil at the top and rotational direction to the plate. Would like to see him be more linear, letting his arm get out front, helping his tracking. The slot is 3/4 and the arm is fast, works clean.

2/16/15
May have been the most impressive showing of the day from this two-way player. At 5-foot-9, 128-pounds he showed promise in both areas. On the mound, he showed rythym and feel for his delivery. A ¾ clean and smooth arm slot, he showed a very good repertoire of pitches. Fastball had run and sink at 73. The changeup had the right spin and depth at 63 along with a short breaking ball at 64. Pounded the strike zone and moved it around while continuingly repeating the delivery. As a positional player, he show a smooth glove with an accurate arm at 64 mph. The swing is clean and the base is solid, tee exit velocity of 81 mph, for an eighth grader. Ran a 8.35 but has plenty of time to improve immensely. Kid can play and is advanced for a guy not even in HS yet.

1.18.2016

Worked out as both a positional player and a pitcher. I like him on the mound but he showed well positionally also. As a positional player, ran a 7.1 60-yard dash and did it with ease. This guy has a really good feel for baseball at a young age. Threw 75 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. In the infield, he showed a solid glove with a 75 mph arm across the diamond. At the plate, he needs physical strength to aid the bat. Had a tee exit velocity of 84 mph, impressive for a 2019. Setup is even with his feet and path is a tick long but he has a chance in couple years to swing the bat as well. Limiting his hand movement will help him as well. On the mound, he shows a repeatable delivery with a good feel for his body. The fastball touching 72 mph with arm-side run. The breaking pitch has the right shape to it and touched 65 mph. The changeup has some turnover to it and sits at 62 mph.
