Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
5-foot-11, 190-pound, average athletic frame, shows to have strength throughout, with lower half thick and durable. A left-handed pitcher, a three pitch mixer, pounds the zone with all three. The delivery is controlled, on time, down hill and repeats it. The lift is athletic, frontside is inline, minimal pull, arm swing is clean, working out of a 3/4 slot, gets out front with good extension on release. The fastball was 84-87 mph, with ride and gets through the catcher. The curveball was clocked at 69-71 mph, correct break and shape, will need to add velocity to this pitch at some point. The changeup is a plus offering, turn me over action to arm side, coming out of the hand looking like a fastball, with good hand speed. Pitch-ability is advanced.

5-foot-11, 190-pound left-handed pitcher. Another good showing from Charlie as we have seen him 3 weekends in a row now. The fastball touched 88 mph, easy action to it. The breaking ball is 71-74 mph and correct in shape. The slider is a good pitch in the makings, 81-82 mph. The changeup has the right action to it, sitting 78-79 mph. The delivery is online, above ¾ in slot. The arm is clean, coil at the top of the lift and he holds his posture as he makes his way into foot strike. The hand speed stays the same on all his pitches. Good looking left-hander.

5-foot-11, 190-pound left handed pitcher with a huge amount of talent. The fastball is up to 88 and downhill at times. The spin pitch is big in shape, sits at 72 mph with depth. The changeup is a work in progress. The slider is an 82 mph pitch, rotation of the spin needs a fix. The delivery is clean, above ¾ in slot. The arm works extremely well, and the tracking of the front shoulder is done appropriately. The lift is repeated, coil at the top and makes his way into foot strike with good posture. The glove side is soft, glove centered in the body at release. Big time prospect, more than likely, a high school draft.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 190-pound, strong, thick, sloped shoulder athletic frame. Put together well, lower half is extremely strong, advanced frame for his age. Pitching Delivery/Mechanical: A left-handed pitcher, arm works from a ¾ to high ¾ slot, the arm is super clean. The front side direction is inline, gets out front on release, uses lower half well, slight coil to leg raise. Fastball: Fastball was clocked at 85-87 mph, last pitched topped at 88 mph. Located it to both sides, was real good to glove side. 4-seam had depth and got through catcher, 2-seam, showed small late run. Curveball: Was true, clocked at 71-72 mpg, depth, thrown for strikes. Cutter: A work in progress, backed up, but throw with good velocity at 80 mph. Changeup: Showed fade and action, clocked at 81-83 mph, could subtract more off of it. Pitch-ability: Threw three pitches for strikes, attacked the catcher, good tempo, was confident, looked to know his way around the mound. The changeup has a chance to be a filthy pitch at some point. Future Role: Look for him to be a starter at next level, added velocity gains, could eventually turn into a pro prospect.
