Conor Tashjian: C/3B, (2023) Longmeadow, MA. 5-foot-11, 180-pound lean frame. Projectable in the box, Tashjian had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. (65.81 mph bat speed average). (20.98 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide stance with a low load, then uses a small leg kick stride. Bat speed is developing, uses a flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 76 mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. While catching, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 75 mph; has developing feet, a clean exchange, and soft hands. recorded pop times of 2.10-2.12. Some flexibility and athletic setup. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a consistent arm action and a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.5 in the 60-yard dash.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Begins in a wide stance with a low load, then uses a small leg kick stride. Developing bat speed. Good extension on his finish, flat swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 88 mph exit velocity, average 74.48 mph. 65.81 mph bat speed average. 20.98 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 2.10-2.12 pop times. Soft hands, developing footwork, clean exchange. Solid. Some flexibility and athletic setup. (IF) Soft hands, consistent footwork, clean exchange. Solid.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm: 76 mph infield velocity. 75 mph catcher velocity. Consistent arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.50 (60-yard).

Conor Tashjian: C/3B, (2023) out of Longmeadow, MA. is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound catching prospect. During batting practice, Tashjian had a max exit velocity of 88 MPH. He hits out of a wide, crouched stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The bat takes a flat path through the hitting zone and stays on plane through contact. During his round, the bat speed was evident and hit a lot of line drives in the middle of the field. Behind the plate, Tashjian was 74 MPH during throw downs. He sets up in a staggered stance with the glove centered in the middle of the chest. As he transitioned to throw, he shows he has sure hands, a clean exchange, and rhythmic footwork.

5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher. He ran a 7.44 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is improving. He threw 72 mph from behind the dish with a pop time of 2.08. The receiving has improved as he secures the catch and the glove has softened. The bat has an exit velocity of 86 mph. The setup is wide in base and he uses a toe tap as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The hands work free and clean with the bat. The path is slightly uphill through contact with the baseball.

Exit Velocity- 86 mph

Catching Velocity- 72 mph

Tashjian is a 5-foot-9, 165 pound prospect. The young right-handed hitting catcher had an exit velocity of 83 mph off the tee. He hits out of a wide, slightly open base, with the hands in a good position. The load is short but gets the weight onto the back leg. The swing is direct and flat through the hitting zone. The finish is on plane, with the weight remaining on the back leg.

Defensively, he showed some arm strength, with a velocity of 72 mph on his throws from behind the plate. The initial stance is balanced, with the glove centered in the chest. The feet are square to start and move well as he transitions to throw. The hips and shoulders follow the feet, creating a good line with the throwing target. He makes the ball exchange close to the back shoulder and allows for a clean arm-swing. He finishes over the front leg, maintaining the same direct line with the target.

5-foot-8,150-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Ran a 4.78 home to first at the event. The receiving behind the dish is coming along nicely as he tries to secure the catch appropriately. The transfer and feet can continue to improve as he matures. Threw 67 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.29. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 79 mph. The setup is wide in base, small gain to the ball. The path is flat and long to contact, tries to stay inside the ball at contact. Showed the ability to stay in his legs.
