David Castillo: SS/RHP, (2023) Margarita Muniz Academy, MA. 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic mature frame. Above average and projectable in the box, Castillo's best exit velocity was 96 mph. (76.2 mph bat speed average). (22.8 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was explosive developing, showed a flat loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Produced loud contact and found lots of barrels. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Above average athletic showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 93 mph; showed sure and  consistent hands, a clean natural exchange, and athletic fluid feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Defense:  (IF) Sure consistent hands, athletic fluid footwork, clean natural exchange. Above average athletic.  Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. 

Arm: 93 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.
