7/18/17
6-foot-5, 195-pound, long, lengthy, athlete, who is extremely athletic, has the room to fill out and add strength. A right-handed pitcher, the hands start low, work upward just so slightly with his controlled easy athletic leg raise. The leg raise has some small coil to it at its peak, separation is clean in the center of his body. The direction of lead leg is inline, stride has proper length to it, delivery is under control, overall the tempo could be quicker. The frontside, is strong, arm works out of a higher ¾ slot, pitches downhill, backside is strong and tall, fastball was clocked at 76-79 mph with a ton more in the arm. The two seamer has action to arm side, at times jumps out of the hand. The curveball showed good tilt and break to it, clocked at 69-72 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, continued reps and practice will help in the development. The arm action is so clean, change should come fairly easy at some point. Good follow, the frame and overall athleticism is well above average.

3/12/17

6-foot-5, 190-pound, super long athletic frame, has plenty of room for future development, look for the frame body to explode at some point. A right-handed hitter, the stance is taller, slightly open, hands are strong and gets them back and loaded up well. On stride foot hands are back, weight is balanced. The swing is loose, level through the zone, finishes high with one hand. The approach is gap to gap, will have above average power down the road, tee exit velocity continues to climb, up to 87 mph. Defensively, prep steps and approach to the baseball are correct, fields the baseball out front, steps through hard, arm action is clean, quick and throws are downhill. The arm was clocked at 74 mph, with a ton more in there. Big time prospect, serious projection to him, is just raw needs to play, get out and see him.

Forty-Yard Dash: 5.06

Exit Velocity: 87 mph

Arm Velocity: 74 mph

3/8/2017

6-foot-5, 190-pound right-hander who is just learning the trade of pitching. The arm is clean, slightly above ¾ and he is a very good athlete. Does a good job of tracking his shoulders and staying with his arm. There is a small amount of crossfire to his feet. Shows a good feel for repeating the delivery and throwing strikes. Arm strength needs to continue to improve through long toss and physical strength. The frame is excellent, and should fill out nicely. The fastball touched 79 mph with a downhill plane to it. The spin pitch is improving, short slider that sat at 76 mph. Velocity of the slider is an indicator that the fastball velocity will grow in these coming months. Shows the correct shape on his changeup, the pitch sits at 72 mph. Good projection on this arm, guy to follow through the summer.

Big and athletic right-handed hitting outfielder who continues to develop very well. Ran a 6.69 on the turf and did it with ease. In the outfield, threw 80 mph with carry and accuracy. The approach to the ball in the outfield is done appropriately. The frame is outstanding, all of 6-foot-5, with room to fill out. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph. The swing starts out with his feet even and he guides the front foot to the ball as it approaches. Getting the front foot down on time is an issue. The hands work clean and free to the ball. The path of the barrel is flat through the zone. There is a tremendous amount of power potential as the leverage he has is legit. Would like to see him spread out more and use his hands. Hitting the weights and filling out are imperative, if he does that, potential is unlimited.

9/25/16
Projectable right-handed hitting outfielder, stands 6-foot-4, 180-pounds. The frame is excellent to add strength to. The hands work well at the plate, and he continues to improve as I see him more. Tee exit velocity of 85 mph. Starts with his feet close, and he goes open to close with the front foot as the ball approaches. The top half has posture change in it as he swings, would like to see him stay tall and stay behind the ball more. The hands work well and he has excellent leverage. Ran a 4.6 down the line on a dig to first base. Threw 73 mph from right field, as he needs to throw the top half of the ball as he lets it rip from the outfield. Gets off the ball very well in the outfield and shows good athleticism. Good looking prospect to follow.

6/28/16

Big, raw and athletic right-handed hitting outfielder. The 6-foot-4 frame is one that is going to fill out nicely and it will help him get his full coordination. Ran a 4.4 down the line and did it easy. Hits out of a high back elbow, even stance with an uphill plane to the bat. I would like to see him spread out a bit, use his hand speed and leverage to back spin balls. Added strength and this guy could be a monster in two years, I love the physical potential. Tee exit velocity of 85 mph. Threw 75 mph from the outfield with a cautious approach to the ball. Played fine in the outfield but with confidence could become a big, athletic corner outfielder who could lean on the ball at the plate.

6/23/16

Right-handed hitting outfielder who showed very well at the event. Big, athletic and raw come to mind when watching him perform. Threw 72 mph from the outfield, with a long arm path and carry to the throws. The footwork and ability to get off the ball are there. Ran a 4.46 on his dig to first base, with a long and easy gait. The bat has life to it, needs strength and the path needs to be flattened through contact. Tee exit velocity of 83 mph. Good follow as the frame projects.
