Dillon James: RHP/1B, (2023) out of Attleboro, MA. is a 6-foot, 186-pound two-way prospect. At the plate, James had a max exit velocity of 89 MPH. He hits out of a tall, balanced stance with relaxed hands. The bat works through the hitting zone on a flat path with good extension. In the infield, James was 81 MPH on his throws across the diamond. As he worked through the ground balls, he showed sure hands, a clean exchange, and smooth feet. During this event, he also recorded a 60 time of 7.3. On the mound, James uses a simple delivery that allows him to get balanced at the top. He creates good direction with home plate and finishes well. The arm works out of a long, high ¾ arm slot that produces a fastball 82-83 MPH with late running action. James also showed a tight 12/6 curveball (65-67 MPH) and a knuckleball (69-70 MPHl.
6-foot, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a huge upside as the arm is quick and clean. The fastball sat 82-83 mph with arm side action. The spin pitch was big in shape, sitting 66-68 mph. The pitch needs additional fastball hand speed added to it. The changeup was a knuckle ball at 65-67 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is solid in tempo, head lean and his top half direction is solid. The secondary stuff needs to improve as he matures but the arm speed is very good at his age.
