Gabriel Malaret: 3B/RHP, (2025) Catholic Memorial, MA. 6-foot, 170-pound athletic lean frame. Above average at the plate, Malaret had an exit velocity of 90 mph. (68.21 mph bat speed average). (21.76 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide athletic stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was above average, used a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 78 mph; had a fluid exchange, developing footwork, and soft hands. Movements laterally were developing and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a loose very quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.67. Above average on the mound, showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with above average arm speed Feel type pitcher and uses some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 82-84 mph; had running action and arm side control with heavy movement. Threw a 11/5 curveball (66-67) with sweeping action and glove side control. Showed fading action and arm side control on his changeup (77-78).

Position: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot, 170-pound athletic lean frame.

Hit: (RHH) Above average. Started in a wide athletic stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, loose uphill swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 90 mph exit velocity, average 83.85 mph. 68.21 mph bat speed average. 21.76 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft hands, developing footwork, fluid exchange. Athletic.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm: 78 mph infield velocity. Loose very quick arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 6.67 (60-yard).

Pitching:  Above average. feel delivery, some effort. high ¾ arm angle, above average arm speed, loose arm action. Athletic balance point, in line shoulders, lands closed, a clean finish.

FB: T84. 82-84 mph. Arm side accuracy, running action, heavy movement. 

CB: 66-67 mph. Glove side command, sweeping action, 11/5 shape. 

CH: 77-78 mph. Arm side command, fading action.


6-foot, 150-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and pitcher. Positionally, he ran a 7.4 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic and he shows very good actions at a young age. The feet need to remain active through the fielding of the baseball. He threw 77 mph across the diamond from shortstop to first base. The bat has an exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is wide in base and the front foot gains ground to the baseball as the swing is produced. The path is flat through contact with the baseball. On the mound, the fastball sat 76-77 mph with arm side action. The spin pitch was 60-61 mph and big in shape. The changeup was 63-64 mph. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and the slot is slightly above 3/4 in height. The lift is repeated, solid in tempo and the glove comes across the hitters face. The arm works free and clean. Big time prospect in the 2025 class
