Bat speed was developing, used an uphill, loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. While catching, he produced a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; shows a natural transfer, developing soft hands, and developing feet. He had a pop time of 2.00-2.15. Clean setup. Using a loose arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the base from a high ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 7.7 in the 60-yard dash. (Max spin ; Avg ).

Almeida is a strong, 5-foot-9, 170 pound catching prospect. The right-handed hitting Almeida is advanced at the plate. He showed the ability to drive the ball to both alleys and take good at bats against plus talent. He begins in a balanced, even stance with the hands relaxed. The path through the hitting zone is quick and direct. He remains balanced throughout and stays on plane. Defensively, Almeida is an athletic, talented backstop. His set up is quiet, he receives well and his throwing is a weapon. His feet transition well to throw and the arm is quick.
