Joshua Jenkins: OF/RHP, (2023) Sutton High School, MA. 5-foot-9, 195-pound solid frame. Athletic in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. (69.65 mph bat speed average). (19.08 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, shows an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 78 mph; had consistent footwork, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a consistent arm action. Recorded a time of 7.4 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, changeup (67-68 mph), slider (64-65 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 69-72 mph. (Max spin 1843; Avg 1681).

Defense: (OF) Soft hands, consistent footwork, clean exchange. Solid. Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front.
Arm: 78 mph outfield velocity. Consistent arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.
Speed: 7.40 (60-yard).
FB: T72. 69-72 mph. (Max spin 1843; Avg 1681).
CH: 67-68 mph.
SL: 64-65 mph. (Max spin 1536; Avg 1536).
5-foot-19, 170-pound, strong athletic frame, put together well, with a very strong lower half. A right-handed hitting outfield, gets the barrel to the baseball consistently. The stance is simple and balanced, feet are even at shoulder width. The swing is down to level, finishes the swing with two hands at shoulder height. Could stay through it a tick longer, cuts it off at the end. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 81 mph. Defensively, threw 78 mph, arm action is short and quick, working from a 3/4 slot. All throws are down hill, above average strength for his age. Look for him to be one of the better players in the class of 2023.
