5-foot-8, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher. I thought he swung the bat well at the event. He ran a 8.6 sixty at the event. The setup behind the dish is solid and he showed the ability to handle the pitches. The glove needs to soften and securing the catch will improve in time. The setup at the plate is even, uses a toe tap as the swing begins. The bat speed is above average and he manipulates the barrel with ease. He is a solid prospect with the bat, he squared up some baseballs during live game play. He threw 66 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.09.

Super talented 5-foot-6, 160 pound right-handed hitting catcher had a tee exit velocity of 80 mph. He hits out of a balanced, wide stance with the hands in a relaxed position. The load is simple and gets him into a good position to hit. As the swing begins, the hand-speed is evident. The bat-head whips through the zone on an elevated path through contact. His batting practice was loud and impressive for the age.
Defensively, he was 67 mph from behind the plate. His set up is balanced, with the glove in the middle of the chest. Received well during the pens. The hands were quiet and showed the ability handle the low pitch. As he transferred to throw, the feet are quick in getting him into a good position to throw. The hips stay over the feet, allowing the body to be in line with the target as he throws. He does get a little hard on the front side as he finishes. But made an adjustment as he progressed.
I love his skill-set! The bat has a chance to be special and his skills behind the plate are advanced.
