7/18/18

6-foot, 220-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 84 mph, true in spin and shape. The breaking pitch is a big breaking ball sitting at 66-67mph. Tough pitch to handle due to the depth, needs to be thrown for a strike more often. The changeup is developing at this point. This arm is very interesting to me, cause it is a high slot, but the slot is fast. At some point, he is going to run good velocity up to the plate. The changeup, in my experience, should be a very good pitch out of a higher slot. The delivery is online with his feet, the top half posture goes back towards third base, needs to hold posture over belly button. The lift is athletic, and has a small coil a the top. The arm works and there is effort in the action. The tempo is quick and the front shoulder tracking needs to be improved. I like the arm, different look and fast arm.

5-foot-11, 220-pound left-handed pitcher. Big and durable left-handed pitcher, aggressive with  his delivery and arm speed. The fastball bumped 84 mph, downhill at times as it comes at the hitter from a plus ¾ slot. The changeup is his second pitch, good deception to it, sitting at 73-75 mph. The breaking ball is big in shape, touching 64 mph. The pitch needs more fastball hand speed added to it. The delivery has effort to it, and a good amount of pull off the target prior to getting to foot strike. The arm is extremely quick but do to the pull, he doesn’t get out front as much as he could. Small recoil after release, as he needs to let his arm decelerate to avoid injury. I like the arm, it’s really good! A few tweaks and he could be a serious guy.

5-foot-11, 220-pound stocky and durable left-handed pitcher. The slot is slightly above ¾ and the arm works clean. The ball jumps out of the hand well and the plane of the fastball is downhill and excellent. Sat at 79 mph but ton more to come. The breaking ball is big and wrapped behind his head, sat at 62. Switching to a cutter or slider may be easier for him. The changeup had good action to it, sitting at 69 mph. The delivery is athletic and he stays with his arm very well. The tracking is done very well, as he has very little pull off of the target. Good looking arm. Swung the bat as well, tee exit velocity of 86 mph. The swing is long and a little stiff as he needs to loosen up and let his strong hands work more appropriately.

Tee Exit Velocity- 86 mph
