Matt Blanusa: SS/RHP, (2025) Newton South, MA. 5-foot-10, 150-pound lean athletic frame. Projectable and athletic during batting practice, Blanusa clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. (68.2 mph bat speed average). (21.7 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is developing, has a flat loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Created loud contact and found some barrels. Line drive approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 87 mph. While catching, has a natural clean transfer, developing consistent feet, and sure soft hands. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 7.1 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable and athletic on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a short consistent arm action while showing quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 81-82 mph; shows running action and command arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2028; Avg 1871). His slider (73-75) shows control around the zone and slurvey tight action. (Max spin 1972; Avg 1914).
