2.9.19- ProCase
5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Showed very well at the ProCase, as he is athletic and improving his game. Ran a 7.01 sixty on the laser at the event. The catching is solid as he shows a soft receiving skill set and plenty of flexibility behind the plate. Threw 78 mph down to second base, with a pop time of 1.91. The feet work well and he is simple with the transfer. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is even in base, small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The bat path has lift in it, needs to flatten that prior to getting into facing college pitcher. The hands are loose and work very well. Trending up with his game.
Tee Exit Velocity - 85 mph
Catching Velocity-78 mph
Pop Time- 1.91

5-foot-10, 180 -pound right-handed hitting catcher. Only played in the game but is trending very well in his progression for the game. The bat has improved and the catching/throw tool is legit.

10/15/2016

Athletic right-handed hitting catcher, that can also jump out in the outfield with ease. Ran a 7.03 60 at the event. Behind the dish, threw 79 mph down to second base with carry and accuracy. Pop time of 1.98 during the defensive portion of the event. The receiving is soft and he takes his nose to the ball. Securing the catch is done well. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 84 mph. The frame needs additional strength to it as he matures. The hands work nicely and they are free to contact. The path needs to be flattened slightly. The base is even to start and he steps into the ball as he swings the bat. Very good potential to be high level catcher.

6/29/16

Right-handed hitting catcher, showed solid in the outfield as well. Very good athlete with a bright future. Behind the dish, showed a pop time of 1.9, with good footwork and arm path. Was a tad stretched out but it’s so easy for him it is hard to notice. Receiving is solid and he needs to continue to work on his blocking. Threw 74 mph from behind the dish. Ran a 4.71 down the line on a dig, continuing to work on his foot speed will be a priority. At the plate, displayed an idea of how to take batting practice, using the right side of the field and staying inside the ball. The setup is even-footed with a flat path to the ball, finishing high through the ball. Tee exit velocity of 83 mph as the frame will have to continue to get stronger. Big time follow for me
1.18.2016

Right-handed hitting catcher who showed advanced catching skills. The receiving is soft and he secures the catch extremely well. Pop time of 1.97. Threw 75 mph from the behind the dish with a fast arm. Can improve his transfer and footwork but at this point is impressive for his age. At the plate, showed a tee exit velocity of 79 mph with life in his hands. The setup is even and he is under control of his bottom half. The hands travel through the ball and is a tick long to the ball but he shows life in them. Would like to see him flatten his path but he should do that with age. Impressive 2019 catching prospect that should garner attention at a very high level.
